The research focuses on reconstructing the lexicon and phraseology of the semantic field of honor and the rituals of dueling. It aims to restore historical depth to words—particularly those that retain a strong symbolic charge even after the practices that generated them have disappeared. Furthermore, the study seeks to contribute to the development of greater linguistic awareness among younger generations, enhancing their ability to situate concepts and practices of both public and private life within their proper chronological and socio-cultural contexts.
